Smoked Spicy Apple Venison Burgers

Description

Venison can be a little bold depending on what they eat as part of their diet so we wanted to play around and make some recipes that cover all of that boldness with some spice and sweet flavors! Adding the diced up apples into the mixture really created a nice flavor profile and texture. It also distributes more juices into a lean meat! Hope you enjoy!

Ingredients
  • - Two pounds ground venison
  • - Half of apple diced up
  • - Pickled Jalepenos
  • - Sliced Pepper Jack Cheese
  • - Sliced Up Tomato
  • - Kale
  • - 1 TBSP Garlic Powder
  • - 1 TBSP Ground Pepper
  • - 1 TBSP Salt
  • - 1 TBSP Onion Powder
  • - 1 TSP Chili Powder
  • - Onion Burger Buns
  • - BBQ Sauce of Choice For Glazing Sauce
  • - Bear Mountain BBQ Pellets Tailgate Blend
Instructions
  1. - Mix spices, apples, and meat together into mixing bowl and let sit for 15-30 minutes
  2. - Preheat smoker to 300 degrees
  3. - Make burger patties and place on smoker brush with bbq sauce
  4. - When burgers are about done place sliced pepper jack cheese on and melt
  5. - Toast the buns
  6. - Burger on bun then add pickled jalepenos
  7. - Then add kale and sliced tomato
  8. - Optional add more bbq sauce
