Meet massive friend of show Guy Nix Jr but we all know and love him as Doobies Smokehouse on Instagram and TikTok. We don't get into the nitty gritty of BBQ technique on this one but I can assure you the more you get to know him the more you will realize he is basically a pitmaster. In my start up journey of becoming a pitmaster myself Doobie has been in my corner since day 1 and is always there to help me out. It was only a natural fit to bring him on to just talk about bbq and whatever else. We do it over a glass of bourbon, okay I lied its a decent amount of bourbon. Tim has an awesome story, he always knew how to cook and was pretty damn good at it. Then his wife Trisha took matters into her own hands and created a TikTok account and wanted to surprise him with 500 followers to get started sharing his love for food and bbq. Well 20,000 followers later he was surprised with his account and the rest has been history in the making. After talking to Tim he is just like me just passionate about making a really good meal and watching people enjoy it. We talk food and life and everything in between while we drink a couple brewskis.

I have simply just been better at picking NFL games than Ryan and after Thanksgiving holiday pandemonium made us miss a week we have two weeks of picks to go through. One of us has to eat a whole pack of Skittles and make picks while navigating all of that. It is probably dumb and disgusting but hey we will take it!

When I started my online journey it was on TikTok and when I decided The Dude Network was the path I was going to go I wanted to network in the bourbon community. I met some amazing people on there but one has become a true friend and that is Ken Bourbon Birmingham, a good dude with an awesome personality. He was an obvious first option to do some talk about bourbon. We talk about the differences between bourbon and whiskey and what makes bourbon, bourbon. Basically we talk about stuff that you are too embarrassed to ask your buddies about because they may pick on you. We def drink some bourbon and have some good laughs and we even pull out the real Ken Bournon Birmingham out for a celebrity guest appearance!!

If you haven't heard of the show than you need to it is becoming one of the biggest and most desired events in all of NAIA basketball for both men's and women's teams. The Appalachian, Rivers States, and Sun conferences are just three conferences well represented at what is now the 7th annual event. Ken French the head coach of the Mighty Oaks in Oakland City, Indiana has helped organize this event with the help of the visitors bureau of Kingsport, TN and stopped by to tell us all about it! Ten different states are representing this years event with 22 different teams!!!

Rio Grande is near and dear to my heart with the Bevo Francis story, one of the greatest untold stories there ever was. So when Coach Ryan Arrowood said he would come on board I was jacked and ready to nerd out. I did actually ask Coach Arrowood about his current team and the start they have had to their season. I even bring a prop on to the scene for this one and if you want to see it please check it out on the YouTube Channel The Dude Network! Coach Arrowood had no clue what in the hell I was going to do but I think he wasn't disappointed with the results. We caught up with Tigh Compton head coach at Pikeville University and it was before season. Now as the season starts and at the time of posting this they have gotten off to a blistering 5-0 start. Pikeville has won a national title while Tigh Compton was on the staff and he tells us the story of how that historic year went and what it was like being part of a national championship. He talks about his journey from the Virginia coalfields to Pikeville and what has made Pikeville such a special home for him and his family! Of course we talk a lot of basketball and have some good laughs along the way. I bet if I ask nicely I can get him back on and if I do what should I ask?

If you don't know Bob Williams you are about to find out why he his beloved amongst the coaching ranks and why his ex players still call him their coach. Recently off a lengthy stint at WVU Tech in Montgomery, WV he made his way over to Fork Union Military Academy in Virginia. This interview was taken place before the season started so coach Williams wasn't even sure what his team was going to look like. Typical coaching downplay as they have gotten off to a hot 7-1 start at the time of writing this recently knocking off one of the top ranked programs in the country the Brewster Academy. Bob will be coming back on again soon to talk about his current team and what has made them so successful!
